Google推出面向企业的邮件安全新产品 与微软展开竞争

据国外媒体报道,Google将推出增强电子邮件安全和扩大邮件存储量的新产品,并在这一领域与微软展开竞争.
这些工具以Google从Postini公司购得的技术为基础.为了解决企业电子邮件服务的安全担心,Google于去年花费6.25亿美元收购了电子邮 件安全公司Postini.这个产品套装旨在过滤垃圾邮件和防止病毒入侵,并能防止机密信息在电子邮件传送过程中泄露.Google还通过此产品延长了电 子邮件信息的保存时间.

所有这些新特点都可以与微软Outlook、IBM的Lotus Notes或Novell的Groupwise邮件服务相兼容.产品售价从3美元到25美元不等,依据用户所选保护强度和数据保存时间的不同而变化.

Google于2006年进军商用软件市场,对微软的摇钱树Office软件套装构成了威胁.Google表示,目前Google的商用软件有数十万用户,其中包括企业、政府机构和学校.
